Introduction 
SymDriver-T is a device driver product which allows Windows NT access to the WAN. Numerous popular terminal emulators (which run as Windows NT applications) are fully supported. The product may be installed in a single computer or in a LAN workstation. When installed in a LAN workstation, the driver allows access to the DTSX cards housed in the same NT machine, or in another workstation on the same LAN.

General information and pre-requisite's for installation
The following are pre-requisites for running SymDriver-T: 
 
 486 PC or above 
 
Windows NT version 3.51 or later 
 
Symicron DTSX adapter 
 
SymDriver-T allows the full capability of the Symicron DTSX communications sub-system to be exploited. The following protocols provided by the standard DTSX are enabled: 
 
IBM SNA protocol support 
 
X.25 Packet level support 
 
OSI Transport 
 
 All protocol support options are software selectable and configurable from SymManager.

DIAL UP SUPPORT Hayes commands support X.32 with Transpac options. ISDN dial up support. 
 
STAND ALONE USE Support included for a local DTSX co-processor adapter, including downloader and tester. 
 
WORKSTATION USE In a network environment a SymDriver-T communications server can be accessed by NT or Windows for Workgroups workstations when they have the appropriate SymDriver software installed 
 
MULTIPLE PORTS Multiple port operating is included. Multiple port usage may be either multiple ports on one card (-29, -30) or single ports on multiple cards (-9), or multiple ports on multiple cards 
 
MULTIPLE LAN PORTS Where SymDriver-T is installed as a workstation it can access DTSX ports on multiple NT communications servers
