Symicron is a long standing U.K. high tech. engineering company.It designs and sells products, comprising both hardware and software, that are targeted at the communications and Internet marketplaces. The majority of its product development is software, which supports Symicron hardware in its application as a communication interface.Symicron is a U.K. leader in wide area networking in which it specialises. At its' headquarters are situated the development, production and administration departments and the majority of the sales and marketing department.
Symicron is located very conveniently for staff living in south east London, Kent and Sussex. The company has a recruitment policy to accept only applicants who live locally and can commute easily within 30 minutes (without cross-London commuting hassle). The offices are sited a few hundred metres from the A.20, in Eltham. Symicron is seven miles and 10 minutes from junction 3 of the M.25. Car parking is easy and available for staff. Public transport (bus and train services) are both nearby, the nearest station being New Eltham - a 5 minute walk away.
The work is stimulating - Symicron concentrates on large high profile IT projects, yet the work environment is friendly. As the company is still wholly owned by its founders it is still approachable and accommodating. In general internal promotion is favoured over outside recruitment.
