SYMICRON
LAUNCH NEW PRIMARY RATE ISDN ADAPTER CARD FOR LOW COST REMOTE ACCESS
Symicron Computer
Communications Ltd, the UK's leading independent manufacturer of ISDN
systems, has launched a PDSX card, a low cost Primary Rate ISDN Adapter
Card, which provides a 2Mbps primary rate ISDN 30 broadband link between
remote users and a Microsoft NT Remote Access Server. Existing ISDN
30 users will incur no additional line costs and for only £1250, the
PDSX card and software enables up to 30 remote users to connect to
an NT server concurrently, giving them high speed, cost effective,
24-hour access to the network, just as if they were in the office.
Teleworkers or mobile salesmen and engineers can fetch work from their
office and submit work done with the utmost efficiency.
At the remote end
a low cost basic rate ISDN terminal adapter can be used to dial up
to the NT server or alternatively, the RAS server can be used like
a point-to-point leased line. The Plug & Play PCI bus card is available
in two port or four port versions.
